2008 Pari Mutuel Auditors Conference
Racing Commissioners International (RCI) will host the 2008
Pari-Mutuel Auditors Conference in New Orleans, Louisiana on
June 24-25, 2008.
“Regulatory auditors from RCI member jurisdictions in
the United States, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean will meet
to discuss technological developments in wagering systems, security
and monitoring enhancements, update their auditing techniques
and skills and discuss common problems, challenges, and solutions,’
RCI President Ed Martin said.
In 2007, RCI as part of its continuing education program,
reactivated regular meetings of the regulatory pari-mutuel auditors
and elevated the group as a formal committee of RCI. Carol Olewin
of the Texas Racing Commission serves as Chair.
The conference will take place at the Chateau Sonesta Hotel,
800 Iberville Street, New Orleans, LA. (504-586-0800). RCI member
room rate is $99/night. Registration fee RCI members is $150.00
Non member registration is $350 unless specifically invited
to participate in the meeting. Attendees are advised to arrive
on Monday June 23rd as meetings will commence early on Tuesday,
June 24th.

• Industry growth pattern is toward internet account wagering
